and encourage others to jump start their life and make a change. If your life is being affected by your weight, change it... I agree that it is not as easy as turning an on/off switch, but it could be as easy as taking a walk. Now that I am off the show I try to do something every day - go for a swim, take the kids for a bike ride, yoga, and of course cardio & weight training at the gym. I have not yet reached my goal weight yet, but hope to do so by the end of summer. I battle with 10 pounds, some days I win, some I lose. As we all know summer is approaching and so are the barbecues and get togethers that can sabotage our great week. Do your best to make good choices and stay away from snacking on chips and finger foods. They are often loaded with calories, fat and sodium. Instead go for fresh fruit, protein and salads. My friends and family know that it helps me to have those healthy alternatives and that I enjoy myself more when food is not an issue. There is nothing wrong with bringing something of your own or requesting a healthy option when it's friends and family. I have found that if I offer to bring something that my healthy dish is what goes first. Live by example, you never know who you might inspire to get on track.
